Dr. Douglas Stramel DVM

Dr. Stramel received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1991. In 1994, he was accepted as an intern with the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center. While at DVSC, he gained extensive knowledge in advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Stramel is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, International Veterinary Academy of Pain Medicine, International Association for the Study of Pain and the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians.
From 2010-2013, he was Chair of Advisory Council on Pain Management through the IVAPM, and is now the Treasurer. In 2009, he received his credentials of Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner and is the first and only veterinarian to receive this in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. He is also certified in Regenerative Cell Therapy, PennHIP, Western Medical Acupuncture through Colorado State University and training in Dry Needling Therapy.
Dr. Stramel runs and operates Advanced Care Veterinary Services, a specialty practice limited to pain management and rehabilitation. He also offers pain management consultations to veterinarians in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Dr. Stramel serves as a member of the "Mustard Seed Outreach," a non-profit organization that helps with the needs of retired pastors and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. His personal interests include out door activities, spending time with his family or his horses.
